The Bag That Brought Me Home
It started with a woman’s hands

It started with a woman’s hands.
In 2014, while visiting her grandparents’ village, designer Trinh Ngô watched an artisan weave water hyacinth the same way it had been done for 200 years. That rhythm — calm, precise, full of life — became the heartbeat of Chu Du.

Today, Chu Du transforms Vietnam’s waterways into a source of beauty and purpose.
By harvesting fast-growing water hyacinth, we help restore nature’s balance while preserving a national weaving heritage officially recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Each bag is handwoven by artisans in Kim Son, then finished with premium leather details in our workshop. The result: eco-chic pieces that blend modern minimalism with timeless craftsmanship - designed for real life, from workdays to weekend adventures.

Add a personal touch with custom embossing — initials, dates, or a tiny symbol that turns your bag into a story worth carrying.

When you carry a Chu Du bag, you carry more than craft or design. You carry stories, hands, and heritage — threads of a place that made me who I am.
And yeah, a piece of my grandparents’ village goes with you.
